Volume 2 is built around 16 thematic units and introduces approximately 960 vocabulary items, including 294 A2-level and 472 B1-level words from the “8,000 Mandarin Words” list, along with select B2, C1, and non-listed terms. Each lesson features 6–8 grammar points, forming a bridge from basic to lower-intermediate proficiency through structured use of compound sentences and cohesive paragraph building.
Content is based on real-life topics, helping learners connect language to personal experience and shift from isolated word practice to meaningful, fluent communication. By Lesson 8, learners are prepared for the TOCFL A2 exam; completion of the volume lays a strong foundation for intermediate-level study.
